Back Pend Oreille County Fire Protection District No. 2 Minutes of the Continued Meeting of the Board of Commissioners on February 23, 2004 Meeting called to order by Chairman Stone at 15:02 at Administrative Office, Metaline Falls, WA. Present were: Commissioners Stone, Miller and Layton, and Administrative Assistant Rumelhart. EMS Training Officer Colleen Miller and Station 22 Lieutenant Johnson joined the meeting at 15:49. Old Business: Internal Budget – The internal budget was extensively discussed. Ladder 20 – Ladder 20 was offered to the three towns and they all declined. Commissioner Stone will check with the other Fire Districts and Fire Departments in the County to see if they would be interested in purchasing it. New Business: Hospital District #2 – Asking the Hospital District to fund an EMT class, purchase AEDs, and help outfit Medic 243 was discussed. Apparatus Assignment – A plan for assigning District apparatus to specific stations was reviewed and approved. Training Calendar – A master training calendar encompassing the three town fire departments and the Fire District was discussed. Organization Chart – A revised organization chart was reviewed. Commissioner Layton moved the organization chart be approved. The motion was approved unanimously. Purchase Order – A purchase order for PPE was reviewed and approved. District Application – Updating the current District application was discussed. Continued Meeting – Business was not completed. Commissioner Layton moved that the meeting be continued until Monday March 1st at 15:00 at the Administrative Office. The motion was approved unanimously.
